Fisherman launch their fishing boat in the early evening, Chennai.

I was on the beach at Chennai (Madras) watching the distant fishing boats.

Close by on the sand was a pile of logs that looked like driftwood.

Three men brought some rope, lashed the logs together into the shape of a boat,
placed their gear in the boat (including a mast, sail, and fishing nets)
and launched their fishing boat into the surf.

In the distance are similar fishing boats with sails aloft.
