Renishaw Hall,
Renishaw, North Derbyshire.
The home of the Sitwell
family for over 350 years.
The Hall was built in
1625 by George Sitwell and major additions and
alterations were made by Sir
Sitwell Sitwell around 1800.
Edith Sitwell grew up here, together with her two brother Osbert
and Sacheveril.
D. H. Lawrence is said
to have used the local village of Eckington
and Renishaw Hall for his novel 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'
